Slanders By The Jews and Historians

Bismillah 09 by Rahila's Islamic Graphics

Pilgrims circumambulating the Kaaba during the Hajj
The Holy Kaaba at night in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

According to the definition of Ka'abah by Wikipedia,
the Kaaba (Arabic: الكعبة al-Kaʿbah; IPA: ['kɑʕbɑ] or IPA: ['kæʕbæ])[1] "Cube" is a cuboidal building in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and is the most sacred site in Islam.[2] The building is more than two thousand years old, and according to Islamic tradition the first building at the site was built by Abraham (Ibrahim). The building has a mosque built around it, the Masjid al-Haram. All Muslims around the world face towards the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are.

One of the Five Pillars of Islam requires every capable Muslim to perform the Hajj pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. Multiple parts of the Hajj require pilgrims to walk several times around the Kaaba in a counter-clockwise direction (as viewed from above). This circumambulation, the Tawaf, is also performed by pilgrims during the Umrah (lesser pilgrimage).[2] However, the most dramatic times are during the Hajj, when two million pilgrims simultaneously gather to circle the building on the same day.

But there are some groups of people who intentionally want to slander and throw false accusations (fitnah) regarding the history of Kaabah. The main objective that they want to achieve is to mislead people, Muslims and non-Muslims alike to have wrong conceptions of Islam, Allah and the Prophet Muhammad SAW. One such fitnah or libel came from a
Dr Rafat Amari who is a Jewish. This is what he wrote on a website:

THE KAABAH AS TEMPLE OF THE ARABIAN STAR WORSHIP

By. Dr. Rafat Amari

The Kaabah of Mecca was one of many Kaabahs that were branches of the Kaabah of Taif; It was of the same building style and had the same religious pagan functions.

Islam is a form of the Arabian Star Family worship of Mohammed’s time. The veil which tries to hide this reality falls when we study the roots of the Islamic religion.

Ibn Abbas, the cousin of Mohammed, and one of the reporters of the tradition of Mohammed, called Hadith, speaks of two pilgrimages of the Quraish tribe. One of the journeys was to the city of Taif.

At Taif there was also a temple called Kaabah of Ellat, or Kaabah of the Sun. This Kaabah was more significant and much older than the Kaabah of Mecca. All Arabs, including the tribe of Quraish from which Mohammed came, venerated this Kaabah. The Kaabah of Taif was identical to the Kaabah of Mecca, and it had the same religious functions. Like the Kaabah at Mecca, it had a sacred valley where no animals or humans were allowed to be killed. The Kaabah of Taif had the same Sidaneh, or religious rituals, adopted by the Kaabah at Mecca. The Kaabah of Taif also had the Istar استار , a kind of dress to cover the sacred stones like we find at the Kaabah of Mecca. Both the Kaabah of Taif and the Kaabah of Mecca had a yard, or an area, which was inviolable. No one could cut its trees or hunt its animals. Anyone who entered there for refuge was protected. Both Kaabahs also had a well in which to put gifts.

In Hijaz, the region of western and central western Arabia where Mecca was built, there were many Kaabahs which were dependent on this main Kaabah. Was the Kaabah of Mecca just one branch of this famous Arabian Kaabah? It’s probable, for many factors point to that. First, the tribe of Tamim, which inhabited the city of Taif where this Kaabah was built, was of Yemeni origin. Second, the tribe of Tamim had preeminence over other tribes in the region, including the tribe of Quraish.

All this suggests that there were connections between some of the Kaabahs of Hijaz, even though they were built by Yemeni tribes and leaders at various times in history. We assume the Kaabah of Taif was the leading Kaabah of the ones dedicated to the worship of Ellat, the sun. This could explain why the Quraish neglected the Kaabah of Mecca and participated in an annual religious trip with other worshippers of Ellat to the main Kaabah at Taif. Members of Arabian Star Family Worship were venerated in all the Kaabahs, such as Allah and his daughters, al-'Uzza and Manat. But it seems each Kaabah had a particular emphasis on the worship of one of the members of the Arabian Star Family.

As in the Kaabah of Mecca, the Kaabbah of Taif had a large Black Stone around which the people circled.

The stone was the main element in Arabian Star Family Worship.

The image “http://adamant.typepad.com/seitz/images/2007/08/24/kabah_chondrites.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

The Kaabah of Mecca was insignificant, even to the tribe of Quraish, until Mohammed imposed it as the exclusive place of worship for Muslims.

The Kaabah at Mecca was not Important to Other Arabian Tribes

Not only did the tribe of Quraish fail to hold the Kaabah at Mecca in esteem above the other Kaabahs, but many Arabian tribes felt the same way. We see that Thaqif, the main tribe of Taif, was not interested in preserving the Kaabah of Mecca. This was shown when Abraha, the Ethiopian, who controlled Yemen around 570 A.D., passed through Thaqif. They asked Abraha not to destroy their Kaabah, but instead to destroy the Kaabah in Mecca, because they knew his plans were to go there after occupying their city.

This shows that the Kaabah of Mecca was not important to the Arabian tribes because it was originally the Kaabah belonging to one tribe, the tribe of Khuzaa'h which built Mecca.

And he went on blabbering rubbish! Isn't it enough proof that The Jews like to lie and tarnish (fitnah) other religions' foundation especially Islam? They have innate vengeance on Islam since the Last Prophet didn't come from their Jewish descendant but came from the Arabs.

Another accusation came from a Historian who equalized the rituals of Muslim Hajj or pilgrimage to Mecca to the Hindus' rituals of pilgrimage to a temple. This is his illogical writing:

Kaaba a Hindu Temple?

[Note: A recent archeological find in Kuwait unearthed a gold-plated
statue of the Hindu deity Ganesh. A Muslim resident of Kuwait
requested
historical research material that can help explain the connection
between Hindu civilisation and Arabia.]

Was the Kaaba Originally a Hindu Temple?
By P.N. Oak (Historian)

Glancing through some research material recently, I was pleasantly
surprised to come across a reference to a king Vikramaditya
inscription found in the Kaaba in Mecca proving beyond doubt that the
Arabian Peninsula formed a part of his Indian Empire.

The text of the crucial Vikramaditya inscription, found inscribed on a
gold dish hung inside the Kaaba shrine in Mecca, is found recorded on
page 315 of a volume known as ‘Sayar-ul-Okul’ treasured in the Makhtab-
e-Sultania library in Istanbul, Turkey. Rendered in free English the
inscription says:

As the pilgrim proceeds towards Mecca he is asked to shave his head
and beard and to don special sacred attire that consists of two
seamless sheets of white cloth. One is to be worn round the waist and
the other over the shoulders. Both these rites are remnants of the old
Vedic practice of entering Hindu temples clean- and with holy seamless
white sheets.

The main shrine in Mecca, which houses the Siva emblem, is known as
the Kaaba. It is clothed in a black shroud. That custom also
originates from the days when it was thought necessary to discourage
its recapture by camouflaging it.

According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, the Kaaba has 360 images.
Traditional accounts mention that one of the deities among the 360
destroyed when the place was stormed, was that of Saturn; another was
of the Moon and yet another was one called Allah. That shows that in
the Kaaba the Arabs worshipped the nine planets in pre-Islamic days.
In India the practice of ‘Navagraha’ puja, that is worship of the nine
planets, is still in vogue. Two of these nine are Saturn and Moon.

In India the crescent moon is always painted across the forehead of
the Siva symbol. Since that symbol was associated with the Siva emblem
in Kaaba it came to be grafted on the flag of Islam.

Another Hindu tradition associated with the Kaaba is that of the
sacred stream Ganga (sacred waters of the Ganges river). According to
the Hindu tradition Ganga is also inseparable from the Shiva emblem as
the crescent moon. Wherever there is a Siva emblem, Ganga must co-
exist. True to that association a sacred fount exists near the Kaaba.
Its water is held sacred because it has been traditionally regarded as
Ganga since pre-Islamic times (Zam-Zam water)."Fortunate are those
who were born (and lived) during king Vikram’s
reign. He was a noble, generous dutiful ruler, devoted to the welfare
of his subjects. But at that time we Arabs, oblivious of God, were
lost in sensual pleasures. Plotting and torture were rampant.

The darkness of ignorance had enveloped our country. Like the lamb
struggling for her life in the cruel paws of a wolf we Arabs were
caught up in ignorance. The entire country was enveloped in a darkness
so intense as on a new moon night. But the present dawn and pleasant
sunshine of education is the result of the favour of the noble king
Vikramaditya whose benevolent supervision did not lose sight of us-
foreigners as we were. He spread his sacred religion amongst us and
sent scholars whose brilliance shone like that of the sun from his
country to ours. These scholars and preceptors through whose
benevolence we were once again made cognisant of the presence of God,
introduced to His sacred existence and put on the road of Truth, had
come to our country to preach their religion and impart education at
king Vikramaditya’s behest."

Politics of the Kaaba in Mecca: How did Muhmmad Use the Kaaba to Promote Islam?

By Austin Cline, About.com

The Kaaba and the Kiswah: The Kaaba in Mecca is Covered by a Black Robe, called a Kiswah

The Kaaba and the Kiswah: The Kaaba in the Courtyard of the Great Mosque in Mecca is Covered by a Black Robe, called a Kiswah

What is the Kaaba?:
The Kaaba is Islam’s holiest site and, as such, knowing more about it is critical to knowing more about Islam itself. The history of the Kaaba is intertwined with the origin of Islam because it appears that Muhammad used the Kaaba for political purposes, promoting new stories about the Kaaba's history in order to connect his new created religion with ancient Judaism. These efforts failed, but the stories remain and continue to feed the idea that Islam is the most valid religion. Knowing more about the Kaaba thus means knowing that not everything Muslims believe about Islam and Muhammad is true.

The Role of the Kaaba in Islam:
The Kaaba (Ka’aba, Ka’bah, “Cube,” “House of God”) is a Muslim shrine located in a square adjacent to the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Islam’s holiest city. The surrounding square has been enlarged to over 16,000 square meters and can accommodate over 300,000 Muslim pilgrims. When Muslims pray the required five times each day, they face not simply Mecca, but the Kaaba in Mecca; Muslims praying in Mecca turn towards the Kaaba instead of facing just any direction. The true origin and nature of the Kaaba is disputed, but Muslims treat it as holy anyway.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are three examples of blatant lies (fitnah) thrown by the Jews and Historian orientalists to Islam and the Muslims since enmity among them existed. There are hundreds more that were written and spread in the websites and media. We must be aware of all these so that we can safeguard our beliefs in our religion and help make others realize that such dirty and malicious works of the enemies of Islam did exist.

Dr. Laurence B. Brown's Conversion Story

There is a certain fascination with conversion stories, and for good reason. Frequently they involve dramatic life-altering events, sufficient to shock the convert out of the materialistic world and into the spiritual. Most who pass through such moments of trial and panic experience an overwhelming feeling of helplessness, and turn to their Creator in prayer. In virtually every case I know, they forget the strained theological formulas they have been taught and instinctively pray directly to our Creator.

For example, a lady once related her ‘Born Again Christian’ conversion story on a popular evangelical television show. This lady told how she had been the sole survivor of a terrible boat-wreck. During her days and nights alone in the harsh elements of the open ocean, she told how God spoke to her, guided her and protected her and how, seeking His favor, she prayed to God and to God Alone. In her long tale, she mentioned God over and over again, and never once mentioned Jesus Christ. However, the moment she was saved by a passing ship, she threw her arms open to the heavens and yelled, “Thank you, Jesus!”

There is a lesson here. When in panic and stress, people instinctively pray directly to God, without intermediary or intercessor. That is the default setting of our spiritual consciousness. However, when relieved of their distress, people frequently return to their previously held theological formulas, no matter how strained or bizarre. All converts feel God saved them, and that the miracle of their salvation justifies their beliefs. But there is only One God, so it makes sense that there can only be one religion that is true in all aspects. Hence, only one group can be right and all others are, to one degree or another, wrong. For the latter group, their personal miracles serve to confirm them upon disbelief rather than upon truth. As Allah teaches in the Holy Qur’an, “Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him]” (TMQ -- Translation of the Meaning of the Qur’an: 13:27) and “So those who believe in Allah and hold fast to Him – He will admit them to mercy from Himself and bounty and guide them to Himself on a straight path.” (TMQ 4:175) As for those astray in disbelief, our Creator leaves them to stray upon whatever misdirected path they themselves choose.

So who will become Muslim based upon my conversion story? Only one person: me. Muslims might appreciate my story, others might not. Either way, here it is:

In 1990, I was in the last year of my ophthalmology residency at George Washington University hospital in Washington, DC. My second daughter was born October tenth. To my great dismay, she was a dusky, gunmetal blue from the chest to the toes. Her body was not getting enough blood, and the cause was found to be a coarctation of the aorta -- a critical narrowing in the major artery from the heart. Needless to say, I was shattered. Being a doctor, I understood she needed emergency surgery, with a poor chance of long-term survival. A consultant pediatric cardio-thoracic surgeon was called from across town, and I left him in the neonatal intensive care unit to examine my daughter. With no companion but my fears, I went to the hospital prayer room and fell to my knees. A product of Christian-American heritage dating back to 1677, nonetheless this was the first time that I even partially recognized God. I say partially, for even then I prayed the prayer of a skeptic, “Oh, God, if you are there . . .” I promised that if God existed, and if He saved my daughter and then guided me to the religion most pleasing to Him, that I would follow. I returned to the neonatal ICU roughly fifteen minutes later, and was shocked when the consultant told me that my daughter would be fine. True to his assessment, within the next two days her condition resolved miraculously, without medicine or surgery. She grew to be a perfectly normal child and as of this date -- July 2008 -- is on the verge of her eighteenth birthday.

Now, as I said before, I am a doctor. And although the consultant provided a medical explanation for my daughter’s miraculous recovery, I simply didn’t buy it. I remember him explaining about a patent ductus arteriosis, low oxygenation and spontaneous resolution. But I also remember thinking, “No,” my daughter’s salvation was not a medical miracle, but a divine one. Many who make promises to God in moments of panic find or invent excuses to escape their part of the bargain, once God relieves them of their distress. I could easily have assigned my daughter’s recovery to the doctor’s explanation rather than to a miracle from God. But faith had entered my heart, and it wouldn’t leave. We had cardiac ultrasounds taken before and after, showing the stricture one day and gone the next, and all I could think was that God had made good on His part of the deal, and I had to make good on mine. Even if there was a medical explanation, that was nothing more than the pathway by which Almighty God chose to answer my prayer and effect His decree. I did not then, and I do not now, accept any other explanation.

For the next few years I tried to fulfill my side of the bargain, but failed. I studied Judaism and a large number of Christian sects. I felt I was on the right track, close to the truth but not upon it. I never fully embraced any specific Christian formula, for I could not reconcile the differences between Christian canon and Jesus’ teachings. Eventually I was introduced to the Holy Qur’an and Martin Lings’s biography, Muhammad, His Life Based on the Earliest Sources.

During my years of study, I had encountered the Jewish scriptures’ reference to three prophets to follow Moses. I had concluded that John the Baptist and Jesus Christ were two, but that left one. In the New Testament Jesus Christ spoke of a final prophet to follow. When I found the Holy Qur’an teaching the oneness of God, as both Moses and Jesus Christ had taught, I become convinced Muhammad was the predicted final prophet. Suddenly, everything made sense: The continuity in the chain of prophethood and revelation, the One-ness of Almighty God, and the completion of revelation in the Holy Qur’an. It was then that I became Muslim.

Pretty smart, hunh? No, I would err greatly if I believed that I figured it out for myself. One lesson I have learned is that there are a lot of people more intelligent than I who have not learned the truth of Islam. It is not a matter of intelligence but of enlightenment, for “…whoever believes in Allah – He will guide his heart” (TMQ 64:11), “Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him]” (TMQ 42:13), “And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.” (TMQ 24:46)

So I thank Allah that He chose to guide me, and I attribute that guidance to one simple formula: recognizing our Creator, praying to Him and to Him alone, and sincerely seeking His guidance. And whom He guides, none can lead astray.

Lambat bertindak membawa padah, maksudnya!

Oh..jadi kami datang lambatlah, fikir saya.

Demo for Palestine at the US Embassy

Bismillah 03 by Rahila's Islamic Graphics

Friday, 9 Jan, 09 ; 12 Muharram, 1430H a demonstration was organized by COMPLETE led by
JIM which moved from the Tabung Haji Complex to the the US Embassy starting 2.30pm. About 1000 people, Muslims and non- Muslims joined in the demo to give support and show solidarity to the Palestinians and give a memo to the US ambassador to urge the US to stop helping Israeli in the massacre of the Palestine civilians. They must do it NOW, lest the US would be known and accused as the accomplice in the war crime against humanity.

Although I, myself was not able to join in the demo due to health reasons,
my friends (JIM sisters in Shah Alam) and I helped to make and sew the Palestinian flags that were flying high this evening. That was the least I (and friends) can do for the time being, besides trying to give information to people within my reach and contact so that they can help the Palestinians themselves by boycotting the Israeli products and by donating to the Palestinians.

Pics were taken by Ismail, my hubby who joined in the demo. Alhamdulillah, he made the time to join in the good cause today. Tomorrow, we are going to join in the Aman Palestine rally,
'Rise of Gaza' at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam, insyaAllah. Hopefully, you readers would join in programs like these too and feel the plight and sadness of the Gazans. The least you can do for our Muslim brothers in Palestine for now.

The Kiblah :The Holy Ka'abah

Bismillah 07 by Rahila's Islamic Graphics

Try to know the history of your Kiblah,
The Holy Ka'abah in Masjidil Haraam well,
so that you can later on impart your knowledge to your kids
and other Muslim brothers and sisters. You should be grateful that
you are blessed by the Almighty ALlah with Islam and Iman so
that you would be a better person or human being who is useful
to other people. Moreover only Muslims can see with their own
eyes and touch with their own hands the Holy Ka'abah.

Many non-Muslims would like to do so themselves and record pictures
on their lenses but they can't even enter the holy City of Makkah,
being people of different faiths.
So alhamdulillah wa syukruliLlah for creating us as Muslims...
Now I present to you..The Holy Ka'abah...

ANCIENT HOUSE OF THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH AND
THE MOSLEMS (QIBLAH) DIRECTION FACED IN
PRAYERS

KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

1 - DEFINITION OF MECCA:

The holy city of Mecca is where the Almighty Allah's
House can be found, it is also a (Qiblah) direction
faced in prayer of Moslems, descent place of the
trust worthy of revelation. Mecca is the most loved
place of the Almighty Allah.

As it is a place where the Sealed of The Prophets,
Muhammad s.a.w was born (may the blessing and
peace of Allah be upon him and his pure progeny)
.

2 - THE LOCATION OF THE CITY:

This sacred city locates at southern part of Hijaz
460 kilometers far from the south of the Madina, 73
kilometers from the east of Jiddah, 98 kilometers from
western part of At-Ta'if. The city is almost 360 meters
raised from the sea level, as it is 21 degree and 25 minutes
circled breadth at the north part, 39 degree and 49
minutes longitude at eastern part. This sacred city has
a boundary at the north part of Madina likewise with Najd
at the east part, It also has another boundary with Jiddah
at the western part and with Asiru Al-Yaman at the
southern part.

3 - FOUNDING OF THE CITY:

Indeed, Prophet Ibrahim
Al-Khalil was the first person to build the Holy Ka'aba,
whereas he putted boundaries of the sacred premises
by guidance of the Jabra'il (peace be upon him) after
he arrived in the city with his son Ismail and his wife
as well. This happened in year 1 A.D.

The House
was renewed by Prophet Ismail (peace be upon him)

after his father Abraham (Ibrahim) (peace be upon him),
then Adnan bin Adad, then Qusai bin Kilab, then Quraish
and then the Holy Prophet (may the blessing and peace
of Allah be upon him and his pure progeny). But before
then, the House which people do visit for their pilgrimage
was built by clay. This was before the flood, until the
Almighty Allah made the place ready and prepared it for
Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he wanted to
construct the House. The city was a passing way of the
caravans as well as a business market. Mecca is named
as Mecca due to the fact that it removes the sinner from
the city. It was also named as Bacca (because it gathers
necks of the tyrants and break them) or it means crowd.
This sacred city has other names, of those names are:
Ummul Quraa, (means origin or source of the villages),
Ummu Rahim (means where people do seek mercy for
one another), Kuthi, (the word Kuthi is name of land in
the city), An-Naasah, some said it Al-Bassah (means it
destroys and kills he who become an atheist in that city),
The Ancient House, The Land of Peace, Ma'aad, Al-Hatimah
and others.

Sudden seasonal rainstorms have perennially afflicted Makkah
with devastating desert floods which rush to the bottom of the
valley where the Holy Mosque is located. These waters would
flood the Holy Mosques and wreak havoc on the surrounding city.
The installation of an extensive storm water drainage network has
made these floods a thing of the past. This network was further
developed during the latest extension by three new storm drainage
systems
, one crossing beneath the Masa'a piazza, another channeling
water away from the new King Fahd Gate, and the third extending
1,175 meters through a 560-meter tunnel to the northwest of the
Holy Mosque.
