The Kiblah :The Holy Ka'abah

Bismillah 07 by Rahila's Islamic Graphics

Try to know the history of your Kiblah,
The Holy Ka'abah in Masjidil Haraam well,
so that you can later on impart your knowledge to your kids
and other Muslim brothers and sisters. You should be grateful that
you are blessed by the Almighty ALlah with Islam and Iman so
that you would be a better person or human being who is useful
to other people. Moreover only Muslims can see with their own
eyes and touch with their own hands the Holy Ka'abah.

Many non-Muslims would like to do so themselves and record pictures
on their lenses but they can't even enter the holy City of Makkah,
being people of different faiths.
So alhamdulillah wa syukruliLlah for creating us as Muslims...
Now I present to you..The Holy Ka'abah...

The opening verse of the Qur'an

"In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.Show us the straight way, The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray."

ANCIENT HOUSE OF THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH AND
THE MOSLEMS (QIBLAH) DIRECTION FACED IN
PRAYERS

KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

1 - DEFINITION OF MECCA:

The holy city of Mecca is where the Almighty Allah's
House can be found, it is also a (Qiblah) direction
faced in prayer of Moslems, descent place of the
trust worthy of revelation. Mecca is the most loved
place of the Almighty Allah.

As it is a place where the Sealed of The Prophets,
Muhammad s.a.w was born (may the blessing and
peace of Allah be upon him and his pure progeny)
.

2 - THE LOCATION OF THE CITY:

This sacred city locates at southern part of Hijaz
460 kilometers far from the south of the Madina, 73
kilometers from the east of Jiddah, 98 kilometers from
western part of At-Ta'if. The city is almost 360 meters
raised from the sea level, as it is 21 degree and 25 minutes
circled breadth at the north part, 39 degree and 49
minutes longitude at eastern part. This sacred city has
a boundary at the north part of Madina likewise with Najd
at the east part, It also has another boundary with Jiddah
at the western part and with Asiru Al-Yaman at the
southern part.

3 - FOUNDING OF THE CITY:

Indeed, Prophet Ibrahim
Al-Khalil was the first person to build the Holy Ka'aba,
whereas he putted boundaries of the sacred premises
by guidance of the Jabra'il (peace be upon him) after
he arrived in the city with his son Ismail and his wife
as well. This happened in year 1 A.D.

The House
was renewed by Prophet Ismail (peace be upon him)

after his father Abraham (Ibrahim) (peace be upon him),
then Adnan bin Adad, then Qusai bin Kilab, then Quraish
and then the Holy Prophet (may the blessing and peace
of Allah be upon him and his pure progeny). But before
then, the House which people do visit for their pilgrimage
was built by clay. This was before the flood, until the
Almighty Allah made the place ready and prepared it for
Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he wanted to
construct the House. The city was a passing way of the
caravans as well as a business market. Mecca is named
as Mecca due to the fact that it removes the sinner from
the city. It was also named as Bacca (because it gathers
necks of the tyrants and break them) or it means crowd.
This sacred city has other names, of those names are:
Ummul Quraa, (means origin or source of the villages),
Ummu Rahim (means where people do seek mercy for
one another), Kuthi, (the word Kuthi is name of land in
the city), An-Naasah, some said it Al-Bassah (means it
destroys and kills he who become an atheist in that city),
The Ancient House, The Land of Peace, Ma'aad, Al-Hatimah
and others.

Sudden seasonal rainstorms have perennially afflicted Makkah
with devastating desert floods which rush to the bottom of the
valley where the Holy Mosque is located. These waters would
flood the Holy Mosques and wreak havoc on the surrounding city.
The installation of an extensive storm water drainage network has
made these floods a thing of the past. This network was further
developed during the latest extension by three new storm drainage
systems
, one crossing beneath the Masa'a piazza, another channeling
water away from the new King Fahd Gate, and the third extending
1,175 meters through a 560-meter tunnel to the northwest of the
Holy Mosque.
